हरिद्वार, हिमालय की छाया में स्तिथ हर की पौड़ी ब्रह्मकुंड, नील पर्वत पर विराजमान माँ चंडी देवी, बिल्व पर्वत पर विराजमान माँ मनसा देवी के बीच माँ गंगा की दिव्या धारा प्रवाहित हो रही है I माँ गंगा कोई सामान्य नदी नहीं है, बल्कि, “पतितपावनी” सुरसरि के नाम से देवताओं के लिए भी पूजनीय है I
गंगा का अवतरण भगवान् के साकार रूप ब्रह्मा जी के पवित्र कमंडल, भगवान् विष्णु जी के श्री चरणों एवं देवादिदेव भगवान् शंकर की जटाओं में हुआ है अतः गंगा दिव्ये रूप में ब्रह्मा, विष्णु, शंकर का निराकार (अमृतरूपी जल ) रूप में साक्षात अवतरण है I
हरकी पौड़ी ब्रह्मकुंड पर गंगा स्नान करने वाले श्रद्धालु तीर्थयात्रियों का विश्वास है कि हरकी पौड़ी पर माँ गंगा के पावन पवित्र जल का स्पर्श करने से भगवान् विष्णु एवं माता लक्ष्मी का आशीर्वाद भक्तो को प्राप्त होता है I
ऐसा भी विश्वास है के जो श्रद्धालु माँ गंगा के पवन जल में तीन डुबकी लगाकर स्नान करते है, वे हर पाप से मुक्त हो जाते हैं I
Lord Shiva says in “Shivpuran” that he himself made the holy city Haridwar which was also a sanctuary of Lord Vishnu and Tapasthali of Lord Brahma a great center of pilgrimage place, so that after taking bath in holy river Ganga, the pilgrims could achieve the four goals of life,
- Dharma
- Arth
- Kaam
- Moksha
Lord Sri Ram, Laxman and Maa Sita visited Haridwar after killing Rawana, and took bath in the holy Ganga to atone for the sin of a ब्राह्मण हत्या.
Maa Ganga is one of the greatest river of the world, because millions of people pay their respect as the most sacred river called “Sursari,” river of the Gods (patitpawani) purifier of all sins. It is also said that the Maa Ganga is flowing uninterruptedly at Brahm Kund, Har ki Pauri according to Kedarkhand Chapter-111 to 113 of the Skand Puran.

- Just in case, personal visit is not possible, one can book any Puja services from our website and our Teerth Purohit’s would perform the religious ritual at Brahmkund Har ki Pauri, on your behalf and our team would share a personalized Video clip as a proof of activity.
