Kashi Vishwanath Mandir is situated on the western banks of Holy River Maa Ganga in Banaras. This Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas. Also addressed as, “Vishwanath” or “Vishveshvara,” meaning ruler of the universe. It is also said that Lord Shiva actually stayed here for some time. The temple has a golden chatra on top.  Shiva is supposed to the guardian of the city and its people.

It is believed that if someone worships Lord Shiva in their homes then they get 100x blessings, if someone worships in a Temple then they get 1000x blessings but if Lord Shiva is worshiped at a Jyotirlingas, especially Kashi Vishwanath Temple then the blessings are 100000x times for the devotee.
